about
The Pandemic, Climate Change, Crazy Politics, Conspiracies and Misinformation... What to do when the world is coming apart?
Originally written in 2020 during the first 4 months of lockdown, it has taken me two years to learn to play the piano well enough to record it on it instead of guitar... so the delay. However, we are not short of pandemics and disasters so I figure it is still highly relevant...
lyrics
It’s been four months that I’ve been locked
Inside these hollow walls
I am going mad seems time has stopped
Despite all the zoom calls
My head’s gone square just like a screen
Each day blends to the next
I’m scared, sad all in between
And politics just leaves me quite perplexed
Fun Fun Fun
It has just begun
One by One
The world’s all undone
The sirens blare all day and night
I’m trying to get some rest
My body longs for human touch
It all feels like too much
I’m getting fat, my hair’s grown long
I’ve lost my motivation
My money’s low, my boyfriend’s pissed
I dream of sweet vacation
Fun Fun Fun, Go get me some fun, No go get me that gun and let’s get it done!
Fun Fun Fun, , I don’t want that gun, I just want some fun, go get me some fun!
Some people like to break the rules
They want someone to blame
5G, the Pope, China, Bill Gates
The communists, the States
What if it’s true what they all say
The pandemic is a lie
What if they just made it all up
And no-one really died… nah
Fun Fun Fun
The cost has overrun
Conspiracies are dumb
Don’t listen everyone!
Fun Fun Fun
Let’s Get out of this jam
We shall overcome
And be the ones who won
Fun Fun Fun
Now put your mask back on
Let’s not be so dumb
Until Covid is gone!
Fun Fun Fun
Come on everyone
If we act as one
We shall overcome!
Fun Fun Fun,
Get out of this jam
We shall overcome
Be the ones who won
Fun Fun Fun
Come on everyone
Fun Fun Fun,
Now put your mask back on
Let’s not be so dumb
Until Covid is gone!
Fun Fun Fun
Come on everyone
We shall overcome
